Clear terms for the work we agree.
I scope and quote each website, SEO or systems project in writing before work starts. Your proposal sets out what I will deliver, what it costs and any details specific to your project. These are the standard terms behind that proposal.

The service in your proposal sets the arrangement.
Interest-free monthly payments
For an agreed website build, you pay 15% upfront and the remaining 85% in 3 to 11 monthly instalments. That is no more than 12 payments in total, with the final payment due within 12 months of the agreement. I provide this arrangement directly.
SEO and systems work
SEO, business systems and other development work are scoped and quoted separately. The proposal states whether the work is a defined project or an ongoing service.
Hosting and ongoing care
Monthly website instalments pay for the build. Hosting, maintenance and any other ongoing work are separate and only included when your proposal says so.
Ongoing services
Hosting, care and SEO have their own scope.
The hosting and care plans cover one agreed website. Hosting & Basic Support is £25 to £49 a month depending on complexity, with the exact amount agreed in writing. Website Care is £79 a month and Care Plus is £149; both include hosting. No VAT is added. Domain renewals, paid third-party tools and additional project work are quoted separately.
Support and small changes
Support covers the existing site and hosting setup. Occasional small text amendments are included for a site without a content editor; sites with an editor receive guidance using it. Requests are handled during working hours, Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays, with a two-working-day initial response target. Outages are prioritised during those hours; resolution time depends on the issue.
Scheduled work
Website Care includes 30 minutes of scheduled content changes each month. Care Plus includes 90 minutes total. This covers handling requests, implementation and checking. Unused time does not roll over. New features, major upgrades, substantial repairs and extra work are quoted and agreed before they start.
Local SEO
Local SEO is £349 a month for four hours of research, agreed improvements and reporting for one website and one business location. It is added to any hosting or care plan, with its own work allowance. For a site I built, setup is included within the first month's four hours. Any assessment or remedial work for another website is quoted separately before starting.
Duration and cancellation
Hosting and care run monthly with 30 days' notice to cancel. Local SEO starts with three months, then continues monthly with 30 days' notice to cancel. If hosting ends, you need another host to keep the site online; any migration work is quoted separately. Cancellation does not alter any remaining build payments. Existing arrangements continue until we agree a change together.
Scope and delivery
What is included in the build.
Written scope
Your proposal lists the pages, features, integrations, timescale and launch work I will deliver. If you ask for work outside that scope, I will explain the extra cost before starting it.
Content and access
You provide accurate business information, content and access to any accounts needed for the project. You confirm that you have the right to use text, images, logos and other material you supply.
Review and approval
You will have a chance to review the agreed work and raise corrections before launch. Delays in content, access or feedback may move the agreed timetable.
Editing your site
Websites I build include a content management system, so you can update your own text and images without asking me to make every change.
Payments
The build cost and payment schedule are agreed first.
The 15% upfront payment is due when we agree the project and before the website build begins. The remaining 85% is divided into 3 to 11 monthly instalments, with the final payment due within 12 months of the agreement date. Your proposal shows the fixed build price, each amount and every due date. Hosting, maintenance, domains, third-party subscriptions and extra work are separate services, itemised in the proposal where relevant. If a payment is late or a project needs to change or be cancelled, contact me so we can follow the arrangements in your written agreement. I will not add work or charges without agreeing them with you first.
Interest-free instalments
How this sits within Article 60F.
For this option, Yorkshire Digital supplies the website and provides the payment arrangement directly. It finances the fixed website build price in your proposal. There is no third-party lender, interest, arrangement fee, admin fee, late-payment fee or other charge for the credit. With 15% upfront and no more than 11 monthly instalments, there are at most 12 payments in total, all due within 12 months of the agreement.
I structure this option around the conditions in Article 60F(2) of the Regulated Activities Order. I only offer it for projects that meet those conditions; if a proposed arrangement does not, I will agree a different payment method before work starts.
Ownership and handover
Your website is yours once it is paid for.
Website and content
Once the website has been paid for in full, you own the completed website and its content. Any third-party software or licensed material remains subject to its own licence.
Project folder
I am happy to hand over the project folder. Ask me when you need it and I will agree a secure way to provide it.
Moving the site
If you move the website away, you will need to arrange your own hosting. Moving it may involve work to reconnect images, databases or other services. That work is not included automatically and I can quote for help if you need it.
Domains and accounts
A domain or account you already own remains yours. If a new domain or third-party account is needed, the proposal will say who registers it, pays for it and manages renewals.
Results and third parties
What I can control.
SEO results
I can improve a site's structure, content, technical setup and local search signals. Search rankings, enquiry numbers and revenue depend on factors beyond my control, so I do not guarantee them.
Outside services
Hosting, domains, payment processors and other integrations are provided under their own terms. I will take reasonable care with the work I provide, but third-party outages and fees are outside my control.
Client data
You remain responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of your customer data and policies. My handling of personal data is explained in the Privacy Notice; CRM processing arrangements are in the Data Processing Terms.
Your legal rights
Nothing on this page removes rights or remedies that the law says cannot be excluded. If a proposal contains more specific terms for your project, those terms take priority where they differ from this page.
